The Huron Holster

The attention to detail in the work Josh and he team puts out is second to none. I ordered with adjustable knobs giving me the ability to tune to my specific draw which saves seconds on overall time. Just shot a USPSA event and moved UP 10 spots!!!!

I have purchased many holsters for my sti combat master, but this holster has everything I have been looking for.

I'm pretty sure this is the best quality holster you can buy. You can see the level of pride that goes into these things; the design, craftsmanship, and quality of materials is top tier. I have an Antero for my carry gun (Walther PPQ), and I wouldn't rely on any other holster-maker while carrying on the street, or (now) carrying in the woods with my Stock III 10mm. The retention system in these is just fantastic, with a solid "pop" that can be fine tuned just to my liking; unlike most which rely on frictional drag along the entire slide to maintain adequate retention. Overall I couldn't be happier and will plan to outfit any future handguns with an LS holster.

Not only is the Huron holster perfect for my Staccato XL, but the staff at Long's Shadow Holster are equally as amazing. They took the time to sit down with me and help me narrow down exactly what I was looking for, and they offer plenty of customization choices. Definitely one of the very few companies out there for STI guns and I'll be coming back for sure.

Very satisfied with the product. Finish is nice and clean. Fit is perfect and is adjustable as needed. I asked for the Blade Tech mounting system which was provided, and the holster is properly drilled for several different mounting systems. Retention is fine for my purposes; a quarter turn of the adjusting screw allows a clean, smooth draw yet keeps the gun solidly in the holster in a scuffle (or if I decide to do some break-dancing). It is NOT sufficient to keep someone from grabbing the gun out of the holster; i.e., no locking button as in an Uncle Mike's reflex holster . . . but that was NOT one of my requirements. As I said, I'm very happy with the product. I'm less happy with the delivery time. While I do recognize that my gun was new on the market (an STI Staccato C), and that that meant development time to build a new holster capable of housing that gun, it still seemed like a long time between order and receipt (ordered 12/25, received 4/17). But the quality and functionality of a custom holster for my gun now enables me to continue my training at a higher level because I know the gun is secure and my gun handling will NOT present any safety risks.

So I had a Huron mad at the end of last season for my Combat Master and was blown away with the fit and workmanship in this product. I immediately placed an order for a twin of it to have a backup. It’s amazing how all of my STI 2011 can fit in the same rig. I have had dozens and dozens of setups over the years and these are some of the best I have had the pleasure of owning. Plan on ordering another for 1911 frame.. A+++

Amazing workmanship on this holster. My STI P Duo with Surefire x300u fits perfectly snug in this holster. Paired this holster with UBL and QLS system. Retention is adjustable and fitment is great. Draw is smooth and easy. Looking forward to putting good use to this Huron with some range time. Definitely worth the wait and will return as a customer to get another holster
